Belmont Charitable Trust and Belmont Community Cares
In addition to the extensive pastoral work provided by Rabbi Millunchick and Leat, the community has two additional elements to its support for our members.
The Belmont Charitable Trust can make grants to members of our community who have fallen on very difficult financial times. Initial requests should be passed to Rabbi Millunchick who will refer them to the Trustees of the Belmont Charitable Trust.
Beyond financial resources, 'Belmont Community Cares' is a team of volunteers who look out for members of our community who may have particular needs. Volunteer activities include driving people to hospitals, medical appointments, visiting people who may be isolated and calling around members of the community when they are not well. Coordinated by Karen Bunt, Tina Freedman and Judy Levenson, as with the Belmont Charitable Trust, all the work of 'Belmont Community Cares' is undertaken in the strictest of confidence and is typical of the warm and caring attitude of the Belmont community. You can contact 'Belmont Community Cares' on the dedicated hotline by calling 020 8863 3000.
