Transitional arrangements between Rabbis
In the time between Rabbi Elchonon leaving us and until a new Rabbi takes up the post, Rabbi Geoffrey Shisler will be a 'duty' Rabbi available to answer any religious questions members may have and provide pastoral support to members of the community. Rabbi Shisler will be officiating at stone settings and Bar Mitzvahs. You can contact Rabbi Shisler by email.

Rabbi Geoffrey Shisler retired in 2014. His last position was as Rabbi of the New West End Synagogue, St Petersburgh Place, where he had been since 2000. Prior to that he was Rabbi of the Bournemouth Hebrew Congregation for seven years, where he came after having worked in Kenton for twenty years as Chazan/Minister.
 
Rabbi Shisler has enjoyed a warm relationship with Belmont over the years and has visited our congregation on various occasions. He is very pleased to have this opportunity to be part of the community for a short while until the new Rabbi comes to take up his position.
 
Rabbi Shisler is married to Anne. They have two children and four grandchildren.
